From a first purchase to a well-considered property strategy
Isabelle and Nicolas first came to Tenerife almost 25 years ago. What started as a personal discovery of the island gradually evolved into a deliberate and structured real estate strategy.
“The atmosphere, the climate, the many golf courses and the countless hiking opportunities… It immediately appealed to us, and even today we continue to discover new things.”
In 2012, they made their first purchase: an apartment directly by the sea. The property was outdated and fully renovated. This initial acquisition proved to be a crucial step, as it was later sold and became the starting point for several real estate transactions in Tenerife.
Buying off-plan as a conscious decision
After the sale of his industrial oil company, Nicolas had the capital to invest more actively in real estate. Their approach was clear: entering carefully selected projects at an early stage, preferably off-plan.
“We always entered projects off-plan at a very early stage, when prices were lowest. By the time of completion, they were sometimes already tens of percent higher, and that’s when we sold.”
This strategy, however, requires more than speed alone. Not every project is suitable for off-plan investment, particularly in a market like Tenerife, where location, developer quality and finishing standards can vary significantly.
A new-build villa at elevation in Costa Adeje
Their most recent purchase is located in Torviscas Alta, above Costa Adeje, at approximately 370 metres above sea level. The new-build villa offers views of the coastline, the Atlantic Ocean and the island of La Gomera, with the slopes of Roque del Conde on the opposite side.
The property was completed in 2025 and features:
- 470 m² of built living space
- a plot of 1,500 m²
- three floors with distinct living levels
- spacious terraces and an infinity pool
- a separate floor for children and guests

Living and working in Tenerife
Isabelle and Nicolas spend around three months per year in the villa. During these periods, they combine their stay on the island with work.
“We partly work from here, although in this setting it feels less like working than it does back home.”
“We have plenty of space, but we use every corner. Each area offers a different experience.”
